Pfranc Rules

We Pfrancs have two rules to help guide us.   The first rule, more of a "purpose" than a "rule", began in the beginning in early 1996 and is the main overriding root core foundation purpose of Pfrancdom.

Rule #1: Send a plug for a pledge - fast and easy.

-- It was soon amended to read "one or two" plugs because it's more efficient to send 2 than 1, and most people learn fast that having 2 is more than twice as nice as having one.   With just this one rule Pfrancdom grew to 57 Pfrancs in 35 countries in 4 years and sent over 70,000 connectors to people fast and easy, for just a pledge.   In June 2000 we created Rule #2 to allow Pfrancdom to grow, prosper, and maintain our purpose.

Rule #2 For connectors that will be used outside his/her area, a Pfranc must charge NO LESS than the official price.

-- The official quantity price list is located at the OEM link.   I encourage Pfrancs to work with local OEM's using the connectors locally and give them lower than OEM prices.   Pfrancs are free to sell to anyone, anywhere, for any price equal or higher than the OEM prices.   But if you work with your local Pfranc you should get the best prices and service.   The purpose and goal of this project and our Pfranc team is in Rule #1.   Everything else must follow and support it.

Rule #3 A Pfranc will follow Pfranc rules without breaking any law.

-- It was suggested "the Pfranc way" would violate some laws in some countries. We will not have a Pfranc in any country with a law, customs law, tax law, etc. that prevents a Pfranc from following Pfranc rules. We will list the countries and laws here for comment. If you know of any law, anywhere, please contact me.

We got by without any rules for years. Pfrancdom works because people who own a GPS are honorable and we provide a service that most people appreicate and value so they send us a few dollars in return.

If you don't get a connector fast and easy for just a pledge, I want to hear about it!

You've heard of "buyer beware"? ... I'd like to coin the phrase: "seller beware". now how do I say it in Latin? - "caveat venditor" (thanks Michael O'Quinn for the Latin.) (lhb 01/10/01 ... just incase I was the first to think of this, if not, let me add someones name here for credit!) BTW, who first said: "Buyer Beware"?
